These artists embody the spirit of innovation, thriving despite the challenges that cast a shadow over the UK’s shrinking dance music scene. This diverse mix serves as a testament to the unwavering spirit of electronica – a reminder that even in what might seem like a harsh musical landscape, creativity can flourish, a solitary flower in a desert.

Forerunners of the UK leftfield electronic music scene, Rainy Miller & Space Afrika, release their new project, ‘A Grisaille Wedding’ earlier this year. It’s evocative of the concrete cityscapes in which they exist — Manchester and Berlin — and features like-minded friends and artists: Mica Levi, Coby Sey, Richie Culver, Iceboy Violet, bobbieorkid, Voice Actor, and RenzNiro.

The project will be Space Afrika’s first full-length release since 2021’s ‘Honest Labour’ on DAIS and follows Rainy’s breakout release ‘DESQUAMATION (Fire, Burn. Nobody.)’ in 2022.

‘A Grisaille Wedding’
, extrapolating feelings, and thoughts of the light, dark and inconclusive, woven around the concrete streets and rainy skies that often follow us. A shining light amongst the dark, to guide the way to something new, if only for a day or eternity. There’s light in the places nobody goes.  But it’s there for all to seek.

Both Rainy Miller and Space Afrika are critically acclaimed producers within the leftfield electronic music scene of the UK and Europe; between them, they’ve gained historic press accolades from FADER, Crack, DJ Mag, The Guardian, Loud & Quiet, Mixmag, Resident Advisor, Clash, The Ransom Note, and many more.

It’s an IMAX screen of emotion, overwhelming and cathartic. As it winds down, you’re left drained—not hollow or empty, but cleared, ready for what’s next
