Mary Anne Hobbs & Anna Phoebe

Mary Anne Hobbs and Anna Phoebe work with a freeform collision between live DJing, violins, electronics, voice and visuals.

Their creative relationship is purely instinctive, built on foundational trust and formidable experience.

Their first show was an improvised live set for TATE Britain’s re-launch in 2023, it was denoted by the Gallery as a living artwork.

An invitation followed to perform at the BBC 6 Music Festival in 2024, supporting The Smile + L.C.O., broadcast live on BBC 6 Music radio and televised on the BBC iPlayer.

Mary Anne and Anna are developing their project as a high-art practise, as live performers and creators of installation pieces.
